In this weeks blog I am going to take a break from the usual focus on Collaboratory topics to hype the Canadian Lesbian and Gay Archives third annual Flashback Gala fundraiser event !!

Co-chaired by Carole Pope and Lorraine Segato the event will be a flashback to the 1980’s, you will enjoy a fun and fabulous evening of cocktails, dinner as well as a 1980s Mixtape dance.  Along side the dinner and dancing will be an auction run by the Auctionista’s, a new art installation by Oliver Husain, and a live performance from Thom Gill.  The flashback to the 80’s music while be provided by DJ Das Hussy

Contributions from individuals and organizations generate significant benefits long after the last dance is danced at the gala. Your contribution will support the CLGA’s many community initiatives and important work of keeping hundreds of thousands of archival materials safe and accessible for generations to come.
