Beginning this Sunday, the Committee on LGBT History, San Francisco State University, and the GLBT Historical Society host their second queer history conference, QHC 2022. From June 12-15, historians, K12 educators, and activists come together to share, discuss, and showcase the newest directions and developments in the histories of same-gender sexuality, trans identity, and gender-nonconformity.
We are delighted to announce that 3 of the Collaboratory’s team members will be presenting papers at this year’s conference.
Director Elspeth Brown and Research Manager Alisha Stranges are co-presenting “Pussy Palace Oral History Project: Sensory Portraits of Public Sex,” featuring the Pussy Palace Oral History Project sense memory portraits.
Oral Historian Elio Colavito is presenting their research in “Rupert Raj has Resources: Trans-Masculine Mutual Aid in North America, 1972-1990,” which follows Canadian trans activist Rupert Raj’s mutual aid organizing.
